Position Title:  Systems/Distance Education Librarian

Position Description:
     The Systems/Distance Education Librarian coordinates and oversees
electronic library resources.  This includes routine maintenance of the DRA
(Data Research Associates) integrated library system; creation of reports
using report writer utility; coordination and assurance of local and remote
access to electronic services; planning and conducting training in use of
databases; providing assistance in planning and implementing further
development of the integrated system and other electronic services; regular
travel to remote service points for training, troubleshooting and general
support; and serving as backup to librarian at commuter facility 65 miles
distant.  

Required Qualifications:
     ALA accredited MLS; two years of experience with library automation;
high level of technical expertise and broad knowledge of library systems,
including integrated system, LAN, WAN, internet resources and PC support;
strong commitment to responsive and innovative support.

Preferred Qualifications:
     2nd masters degree in Computer Science or Management Information
Systems; reference experience; BI or training experience; experience with
DRA integrated system; familiarity with MARC formats and OCLC.

Salary and benefits:  Hiring range:  $33,493-$35,533
                      Benefits:  12 days sick leave per annum;
12 days vacation per annum, increasing with longevity; health and dental
insurance; choice of retirement programs.

     Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required of all

full-time basis.
