printing large graphics and tables in Netscape

Does anyone have any hints on how to print graphics that are wider than
the screen in Netscape?  We had a student who needed to print the map at
http://www.lib.utexas.edu/Libs/PCL/Map_collection/europ/Europe_95.jpg

We eventually saved it and took it to a staff station that had a graphics
package, but that was not a very convenient solution.  We have also
had this problem with very wide tables at some government sites.

We are using Netscape 3.x with Win 3.11 and a HP DeskJet 540 printer.
