ALA Conference program guide

     Choice Magazine is considering a supplement that would list all 
     collection development and acquisitions meetings and programs at next 
     summer's ALA annual conference in Washington.  We would like to include 
     brief descriptions of the programs, similar to those in the regular 
     conference program. A purpose is to provide easy access to programs and 
     meetings on these topics. The format would be pretty simple, something 
     that could be carried to meetings and easily tucked into a bag.
     
     This supplement would be distributed free to all subscribers, as the 
     Web Review Issue was this year. Extra copies would be available for 
     free at the Choice booth (as compared to extra Web Review Issues, 
     which are being sold for $20), so there's no added cost to the user. 
     Production costs are planned from other sources, so subscribers are 
     NOT covering any expense. It's truly a bonus. Yet we do not want to 
     compete with the full program book, 
     
     Do you folks think there's enough interest in this for us to go to the 
     effort? Would you use it? If you are involved in collection development 
     and acquisitions meetings or programs, would you be willing to provide 
     information? Any other comments or reactions?
