SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for managing the integration
of external content on our web-based electronic library.
Responsibilities include working with vendors, managing 
feed handling and filtering, indexing, automating processes,
and performing content administration.   Additional
responsibilities include managing a Verity (search &
profiling) knowledge base, web reporting, and providing
hotline support for the web site.  As a member of our
Desktop Services team you will be closely involved in the
ongoing development of a highly visible, leading edge 
web-based electronic library. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

-Experience in managing electronic content feeds
-Knowledge and experience in HTML authoring
-Experience in indexing and working with search query
 languages 
-Database knowledge
-Masters in Library or Computer Science or equivalent 
 experience
-Experience with programming and/or scripting languages
-Communications and teamwork skills
-IS operations experience

Preferred:

-Knowledge of Windows-NT workstation & server environments
-Knowledge of Verity search environment and query language
