Automation Services Librarian
Responsibilities: assisting the Director of Library Automated Systems
with the management of Automation Services unit and University Libraries'
systems; coordinating library technology projects; maintaining a level
of knowledge sufficient to evaluate and recommend information technology
which will enhance University Libraries' operations and services; in 
cooperation with other library units, training library faculty, staff, 
and students through formal instruction, documentation, and information 
consultation.
Minimum qualifications: MLS from an ALA accredited program at time
of appointment or a master's degree in computer science, information science,
information systems, or information technology with a minimum of one year
of appropriate library work experience; effective communication skills;
understanding of issues, needs, and concerns of libraries as they relate
to information technoloy. 
Preferred qualifications: knowledge of microcomputers, Windows 95, OCLC 
systems, UNIX and integrated library systems;  Web site maintenance and 
support experience; supervisory experience. Salary negotiable: $32,000 
minimum.

immediately; faculty status possible with appropriate academic credentials.
