It makes sense, but it suggests that you haven't had a chance to work with
CSS.  Unless a stylesheet is relying on a way cool CSS hack, it will look to
a browser without CSS support like "normal" HTML.  It's very much the way
non-Java/non-Javascript browsers deal with pages that have applets or
scripts (except that it's a little easier to make your pages totally
dependent on applets and scripts).  Browsers are expected to ignore
attributes they don't understand, so if your browser doesn't don't know what
a CLASS attribute is, it will treat '<P CLASS="hangingindent">' the same as
'<P>'.
