Mouse balls -Reply

Well, at least this wasn't the old joke about mouse balls that
made the rounds a half dozen years ago....a purported
internal document from IBM. o-)

We don't bother for several reasons.

We've had little theft or vandalism....at least in part because
we glue the little "ball covers" (jock straps?) in place with a
dab of superglue. Yes, you can't clean the balls....but we've
never really wanted to. I clean my own mouse at home and
work since I usually am eating over the keyboard and mouse
area, but hasn't been an issue with public stations. And, so
far, we've never had a mouse stolen.

And, since replacement mice are 9.95 or less, we just don't
worry too much about it. Think I saw some last week locally
for $6.95...hardly high end delights, but adequate for the use
intended.
