Pull the plug -- libraries aren't common carriers

You have been part of a very lively and 
informative discussion on this issue and I 
thank you for presenting the intelligent 
opposition to the idea of open public access to 
information but I have to point out some 
problems with your choices of language.  
For instance, "diversity" implies an expansiveness  
and inclusivity not a tightly controlled information 
class structure which I hear you advocating.  I also 
think you've been using Newspeak to insult your 
patrons to us and I have to say I find that offensive.  
I hope you learn soon the fun in finding out 
that your patrons can teach you something and not 
just the other way around.  The process is a dance.
