Plan to Attend!
As you start to get ready for the ALA annual meeting in San Francisco, make
sure you mark your calendar to attend the 1997 LIRT Program,

**Focus on the Student : Emphasizing Learning Styles**

to be held on Sunday, June 29, 1997, 9:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m., in the Westin
St. Francis, Grand Ballroom.

This informative panel presentation will feature Gail Junion-Metz,
President, Information Age, a distinguished Internet trainer and author of
numerous training and instructional materials; Lynn Sutton, Director,
Undergraduate Library, Wayne State University, who developed a new
undergraduate environment designed with learning styles in mind; and Debra
Jones, Internet Librarian, Cabrillo College, a noted presenter and author,
who has created a critical thinking approach to the ever evolving
electronic learning environment.

This year's program will present you with new avenues of teaching to
explore as each librarian in every type of library is faced with the
challenges of providing instruction to our diverse user populations.

This will be fun and informative!

See you there!
