Where to move the debate? How about Usenet?

Some have demanded that the filtering/porn/CDA thread end or move to a
new list. Others have countered that they want to see who "wins."
Yes, the topic is interesting, but it has completely overwhelmed this
list, so it should move on. Rather than start yet another new list
(which is not a trivial undertaking), how about moving the discussion
to a forum *already intended* as a soapbox for library issues: the
     Usenet group called soc.libraries.talk

Soc.libraries.talk is a fairly sparse newsgroup in need of
revitalization, with its two resident "characters" unseen all summer
(one guy who hates the Boston Public Library, and another guy who's
trying to invent an electronic version of the brain of a librarian...
     anyway...)

This way the debate can rage on, and those of us who have upper limits
on the size of our inbox can relax and not have to scour out web4lib
     mail every few hours.

How about it - who wants to step outside?
