Nice Web Tool developed by an editor for Wired

I just wanted to tell everyone of a great site that might be of interest to
those that do research on the Web. An editor for Wired magazine created a
research page/tool for his writers and now has given access to the general web
community. It is pretty nice. Make sure that you view it with a browser that
will support Java scripts as it makes an intelligent use of it's capabilities.

It is mainly a Hotlist page with a difference. It only contains "good"
reference sources and it uses the Javascript to maintain a tool
personality.

If you click on a link, instead of merely following the link, it will open a
new browser to that link's page. That way, when you are done with the page, you
can just close it to get back to the tool instead of having to backtrack or
you can have multiple information sights opened from one tool (equally able
to navigate all or none of them). Check this sight out!!!!!

The techniques it uses would be great for Library reference pages, as the user
would come to rely on that page in much the same way as they do the Library.
Pages would no longer be starting points to winding paths. Instead they
would be relied upon tools for research and information gathering.

The address is :

http://www.wiredsource.com

I highly recommend it.
