		Digital Public Services Librarian

The University of Maryland, Baltimore County, an honors university serving
10,000 undergraduate and graduate students, has recently invested in a new
library building featuring extensive technological development and online
resources (see www.umbc.edu).  We now seek an experienced librarian with
vision to lead the further development of our electronic public
information services.  

Responsibilities include planning, creation, and coordination of internet
content and access so as to take advantage of new tools/techniques to
maximize content and utility for the campus.  Position will also share
scheduled evening and weekend reference hours and instruction.

Salary $35,000-$41,000 with attractive benefits.

Qualifications:  ALA-accredited MLS.  Demonstrated achievement in the area
of public services technology, advanced knowledge of current and
developing soft/hardware, proven successful project management and
excellent communications skills are required. Reference experience
preferred.   Knowledge of government documents helpful.
