copying large files

If the hard drive computer is a unix machine you can use the "split" 
command to divide the file in parts < 1.4 MB, and to re-unite the parts 
on the PC you use the copy ... + ... command.
If you have at least access to a unix computer you can copy the large 
file by ftp (binary) to that machine and "split" it there.
