Reference Librarian for Del Mar College Libraries
Position #: 04-9716F

Essential Job Requirements: 
Master's degree from an ALA accredited program with emphasis in 
Library Science.  Three years library public services experience with 
at 
least two being in reference services at an academic library.  
Thorough 
knowledge of reference tools for community college students, 
electronic reference formats and sources, Internet and home page 
maintenance and creation.  

Salary: $39,880, plus benefits
Contract: full time, annual, instructional faculty 
Special Work hours:  Work week will include weekends and evenings

Responsibilities: Reference desk work; library instruction 
presentations 
including reference sources and electronic catalog training; indexing 
of 
Corpus Christi Collar Times newspaper on and ongoing basis and 
supervision of the creation of the printed and electronic index; 
collection development duties as assigned; oversight of reference 
home page and electronic resources operation.  

Location: Library Department - East campus
