Win95 lockdown software and Netscape Mail -Reply

I've not tried this specifically, but you should be able to do
what you want with ikiosk from hypertec.com.  Download a
trial version (60 days) from the website and if you buy it is
only 25 bucks a machine, less in quantity (gets down to
about ten a machine if you get a couple hundred).

You can disable any and all menu items or buttons on any
win95 program.  You should be able to set it (and lock it) to
send mail from "library user one" or something like that.  I
know some think they should leave it open for students to
individually configure who the mail is from, but i can
GUARANTEE you that won't happen.  One student will set it
up as from joe at xyz.edu and most others won't notice or
change it.....and the mail to profs will be from him, not the
right person.  So, make it from a generic, even nonexistent,
user, and put the burden on the profs.
