Doctor HTML works very good.  It is a website that checks urls you enter.
No software required.  It is available at:
	http://www2.imagiware.com/RxHTML/
Good Luck! I just used it and found a bunch of dead links in my own stuff,
though you may want to confirm dead links through repeated testing over a
few days before you cancel them.
