Susan, I have a few suggestions--1: clear the cache or set it to 0! All
those pages accessed load before any current choices and could be freezing
up your system--it happens to us all the time!! Clear the cache every 6
pages...
 2: expand your ram cache
3: your Internet service provider may have a non-use/inactive time out
set--check with to be sure that if your terminals are inactive, the
accounts dont get logged off the internet automatically
4: set your ppp parameters for a longer time-out

The freezing is related to your cache overload...if five patrons have been
on--there's about 500,000k already in cache memory..set it to 0 so that
everytime is the "first" time that page gets loaded and its not in
memory...

e.g. -- if you have 15 pages already in cache--those pages get loaded into
active memory BEFORE your next patron can get the first page
he/she wants -- "pre-load" freezes the machine--which you have to
reboot...

Complicated...you can get around it be getting a permanent "live"
connection trhough a T1 or idsn line...but who has THAT funding...
