Brian Tompsett at the University of Hull has compiled a list of
genealogical web sites at
http://www.dcs.hull.ac.uk/public/genealogy/GEDCOM.html
The site is called Royal and Noble Genealogical data on the
web, but includes many links to "non royal genealogies."
There are a few links to the University of Erlangen related to
your question that you may be familiar with:
A database of 30000 German nobles
(http://faui80.informatik.uni-erlangen.de/html/ww-person.html), Descendants of Charlemagne
(http://faui80.informatik.uni-erlangen.de/html/chl-enter.html),
and Medieval Pommeranians
(http://faui80.informatik.uni-erlangen.de/html/parcham.html),

Hope this helps,

Hello all,

this might seem like a strange request: I would like
to ask you for useful resources for genealogy research
on german relatives.

I am asking here in web4lib as genealogy is so popular
in the US that we get many requests about this topic
from US citizens since our www server opened up.

We are currently thinking about what we could offer
these folks, but in the meantime I would like to
point out at least the most popular or useful
web sites to them.

I will summarize any information given in the english
secton of our site.

Regards,
Ulrich
