The PICS standard defined by the World Wide Web Consortium.

PICS (Platform for Internet Content Selection) is a method of rating the
content of sites. It has been implemented in Microsoft's Internet
Explorer 3.0 Beta 2 and will probably be implemented in future versions
of Netscape Navigator. Both Netscape and Microsoft have agreed to
implement recommendations from the W3 consortium.
