At WPC we use the HP Scanjet, OmniPage Pro (for OCR), and Photofinish for 
(most) image work. Also we use Adobe Photoshop for image enhancement. We 
really don't do a whole lot of this kind of stuff, though. Recently, we 
purchased the Apple QuickTake camera and software for film-less image 
work. It works very well indeed. The various software/hardware 
combinations do require a bit of training and/or hands-on 
familiarization, especially Photoshop. The results, though, can be amazing.
