REFERENCE/PUBLIC SERVICES AND INSTRUCTION LIBRARIAN

        We seek an energetic, creative, and highly self-motivated
individual with *experience in teaching information literacy;
*knowledge of effective techniques and trends in information literacy
instruction for adolescents;
*expertise with retrieval technologies such as WWW, FirstSearch, and
Integrated          Online Library Systems;
*ability to learn and work with a number of database, presentation,
word-processing programs;
* ability to work in a networked team setting and handle multiple
responsibilities in a changing environment;
*demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, oral, and written communication
skills;
*strong public services orientation.
        The successful candidate will help coordinate an existing,
successful, course-integrated information literacy program.   Duties
include:  Teaching classes; coordinating information literacy activities;
working collegially with classroom teachers on information literacy
programs; developing appropriate applications of emerging retrieval
technologies; participating in collections development activities; working
at the reference desk, including some evening and weekend hours.
        Qualifications:  Masters of Library Science degree from an
ALA-accredited institution required;  familiarity with traditional and
emerging retrieval resources and technologies; strong interpersonal skills.
