You might contact Barbara Jenkins (jenkins at oregon.uoregon.edu), Head of 
Reference, at the University of Oregon Library.  The Library currently 
offers 2 credit classes which might be what you are thinking of.  One is 
titled Research Strategies and Information Technology and the second is 
called Contours of Cyberspace.
