Oh yeah, that's a problem I've noticed with Lynx and we've had to do some
odd things with pages to get around.

If you don't even put the alt=" " in your links which use images instead
of text, then lynx tries to read the links but it can't use them, so you
get a line of nothing and have to arrow past all of the links.  Without the
alt text, even empty, Lynx doesn't display the [image] alternate.

That really played some havoc on our front page here at WPI.
