This is a call for participation for everybody interested in including a
presentation of their research activity in our Toolbook OnLine project.

Up to this point, Toolbook OnLine has been used only as a vehicle for our
new hyperfolio research involving Adobe Acrobat and other applications and
data types. We would like to extend the Toolbook OnLine idea, and make it a
vehicle for presentation of the work of other Toolbook authors and
researchers. Toolbook OnLine can be a good place to get work published
quickly and more informally than otherwise possible.

We would like to invite anyone interested in contributing to this effort to
submit a one-page maximum document, in MS Word or MS Publisher format,
detailing their project. This description can include graphics or whatever
other information you choose.

These one-page documents will be converted into Acrobat documents, which
means that you can include hyperlinks to other Web sites, Toolbook files,
etc., through the Acrobat Weblink plug-in technolology.

For those unfamiliar with the hyperfolio concept, we're working to integrate
various media together into a kind of living document which not only allows
linking of various documents, but also modification and /creation/ of new
documents. While the demos so far involve Asymetrix Toolbook, there's no
reason the idea cannot be extended to HyperCard, Authorware, Applescript,
etc. In fact, it should be extended to include this x-platform usability.
One demo currently shows the potential of multimedia authoring via an
Acrobat document user interface. The potential is great.
